After the season is before the season – so the old rugby saying goes. On Saturday, June 7th, the U16 teams of the MRFC and the Freimann Dragons met one last time to play a few seven-a-side friendly matches and round off the 2024/25 season. This was not only a fantastic day of rugby in Großhadern, but also an opportunity to fine-tune the SG München team for next season. In the 2025/26 season, the city’s clubs will once again join forces to compete at the highest level in Germany.
SG München will compete in the DRJ Bundesliga with both the U16 and U18 teams. The goals are to continue to compete with the best in the country, represent the city with dignity, and at the same time offer development opportunities to the youth players of all participating clubs. Our SG is open to all interested parties – get involved in this exciting project and help further strengthen rugby in Munich!
Interested clubs, as well as individual players, who would like to become part of the SG Munich project are always welcome. Simply contact MRFC Vice President Rory Donoghue at vice-president@mrfc.de or the coaches of the participating clubs – or come along to team training.
